जन्म कुण्डली — the Vedic birth chart

Your kundli, computed rather than guessed.

A full sidereal birth chart cast from the moment itself. Every figure on the page is worked out, and every statement names the rule that produced it.

The kundli sheet

Read it alone, or with an astrologer on the same chart.

Varshaphal

Your running year, वर्षफल.

The Tajika annual chart, cast for the moment the Sun returns to its birth degree.

  1. 01Varsha lagna and the lord of the year
  2. 02Muntha and the five office-bearers
  3. 03Mudda dasha, period by period
  4. 04The year before and the year after

Enter the local clock time at the birthplace.

What it computes

One chart, and everything the tradition reads off it.

The whole sheet is computed at once. Nothing below sits behind a paywall or a login.

Two conventions, one chart

The north-Indian diamond and the south-Indian grid are the same cast chart drawn twice. Switching between them computes nothing new.

Panchang at the birth place

Tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga and karana, with sunrise worked out for the coordinates you gave.

Where the chart is thick, and thin

Sarvashtakavarga totals laid over the same twelve signs, so strong houses show without arithmetic.

Yogas and doshas3 found
  • Budha-Āditya yogapresent

Sūrya and Budha together in the 9th.

  • Śaśa yogapresent

Śani in its own sign, in a kendra.

  • Kemadruma yogaformedcancelled

Chandra sits in a kendra from the lagna.

Yogas, with cancellations checked

Named combinations found in the chart, and each dosha tested against the rules that undo it.

How it works

Three fields, and then the whole sheet.

  1. 1

    Give the birth details

Date, time and place. The city list resolves the coordinates and the historical time zone for you.

  2. 2

    The ganita runs

Positions come from an ephemeris and are turned sidereal with the ayanamsha you chose.

  3. 3

    The sheet opens

Every panel over one chart, and the address bar alone reproduces the whole view.

Give the time as precisely as you can. The lagna moves a degree every four minutes.

The method

Computed from first principles, and it says so.

Positions come from an ephemeris, not from a rounded table and not from another app’s output. The divisional charts are derived from the same longitudes rather than approximated from the rashi chart, which is where most disagreements between two readings of one birth actually come from.

Interpretation is held to the same standard. Every statement names the factor that produced it, and where the classical rules do not speak, the panel leaves the space empty and says why. A confident sentence with nothing under it is worse than a gap.

Your data

A birth time is not marketing material.

When and where somebody was born, and often their name, is about as personal as data gets. It is treated that way.

    No account to cast

Fill the form, read the result. Birth details are held only long enough to answer the request.

  2. 02

    Saved only if you save

A chart becomes a record when you press save, and then it belongs to your account alone.

  3. 03

    No trackers, no advertising

No analytics script, no ad pixel, no third-party tag. Three cookies, all of them ours.

  4. 04

    Deletion means deletion

Delete a chart and the record goes. Ask for the account to go and it goes with it.

Feedback

What people say after the first chart.

I had three different lagnas from three different apps. This was the first one that told me which ayanamsha it used, so I could finally work out why.

The dasha page is the thing. Real dates, three levels deep, and I can see exactly where today falls.
Arjun M.Bengaluru
Flipping between the north and south chart without recasting anything is a small thing I now use every day.
Lakshmi V.Chennai · reads south-Indian charts
My father reads Devanagari and I read English. Same chart, one switch on the toolbar.
Harpreet K.Ludhiana
No sign-up wall, nobody asking for my phone number. I cast the chart and read it.

Questions

Asked often enough to answer here.

Something not covered? Write to us.

No. Open the birth form and read the result. An account exists only for the things that have to belong to somebody: a saved collection, and a consultation thread.

Lahiri by default, with Raman and Krishnamurti on the form. Every chart prints its ayanamsha, bhava system and node type in the footer, so a screenshot cannot lose its provenance.

Almost always for one of three reasons: a different ayanamsha, a different bhava system, or divisional charts approximated from the rashi chart instead of derived from the longitudes. All three are printed on every sheet here, so the difference can be found rather than guessed at.

Then a birth chart cannot honestly be cast — the lagna moves a full sign roughly every two hours. Prashna casts a chart for the moment a question is asked, which is the classical answer to exactly this problem.

The readings are assembled from classical rules, and each statement carries the factor that produced it. Where the rules are silent the panel says so. A consultation with a listed astrologer is a conversation with a person.

Devanagari, IAST or English, switched from the toolbar — a change of script, not a translation. And the address bar holds the inputs, never the computed chart, so a shared link can never go stale against a corrected engine.

Every panel listed here is free, and there is nothing to buy today. But no medical, legal or financial decision should rest on a chart: the disclaimer says so at length, and means it.
